  2. Info on Julia Julia Gillard was born on the 29th of September 1961 in New South Wales. Her parents names are John & Moira and she also has a sister, Alison who is 3 years older than her. Julia is 48 years old and is the Prime Minister (PM)of Australia. Julia took Kevin Rudd’s spot as PM on the 24th of June 2010 and is still PM today.

  3. Julia as PM Julia Gillard became PM on the 24th of June 2010 and at this moment she is trying to keep her position as PM. This is because Tony Abbott (Leader of the opposition) is also aiming for Prime Minister. All the votes have now been counted and the Labor party won. This now means that Julia Gillard has officially been elected by the people of Australia to be the first FEMALE Prime Minister.

  4. Julia’s early life Julia Gillard suffered from Bronchopneumonia as a child so her parents decided she would heal better in a warmer climate, so they moved to Australia. They came in 1966 and moved to Adelaide. Her father was a psychiatric nurse and her mother worked at the local Salvation Army nursing home. Julia went to Mitcham Demonstration School and then went to Unley High School.
