  12. Interesting Facts • Also Known as the “wild cherry” • Usually a small tree but can grow up to 80 ft. • More birds eat from this tree than any other • 456 butterflies and moths lay their eggs on the black cherry • The fruit can be used to make jams, jellies, and liquors

  14. How did our opinion change? • In the beginning, we just saw it as an opportunity to go outside. As time went on we watched our tree grow and change. It actually became very interesting to us. We learned a lot of interesting things about this tree. It changed a lot form Winter to Spring. In the winter, it had no leaves and just looked plain. In the Spring, it gained leaves and looked more appealing. Actually, we never knew that this tree existed until now.
