  2. PDHPE is important to primary schools as the teaching of essential knowledge and providing education, needs to start at a young age allowing their knowledge to expand. PDHPE is the path for creating our children’s healthy active lifestyle. This allows them to develop self esteem, values for themselves/others and essential characteristics such as teamwork and equips them with crucial knowledge about the connection between disease/illness and an active and healthy lifestyle.

  3. PDHPE links directly with student personally, relating to their growth and development, personal health choices and interpersonal relationships. Providing students with important information relating to their lives reflecting to safe living and active lifestyle and educating students on physical education linking to games and sport, gymnastics and dance.

  4. It’s a link to good health Preventive measure against disease Promotes a physically active lifestyle

  5. Builds self esteem • Develops cooperation, teamwork and sportsmanship skills
