Press conference • Organizing a press conference in line with the official representation opening will increase the interest towards the company • Objectives • To announce the entering of EMC in Bulgaria • To present the management of the company to media • To give information on the plans of development, employment growth, corporate facts, trends on market, specialization of the company, etc. • Demonstration of key projects • Timing • October 23, 2007 • Venue • Easy-to-reach business venue • Hilton Sofia or other appropriate hall

Press conference • Participants • Target media • All relevant journalists from IT, business, mainstream sector will be invited • Company representatives • Local management • Foreign representatives – if possible • The agency will develop a detailed scenario, talking points and list of expected questions by media and suggested answers

Press Conference - mediarelations • Preparation for the event • Inviting the media • Create database and target the right journalists • Sending of invitations to the journalists a few days prior to the event • Then follow up calls to generate interest, personal contacts and get confirmations to ensure attendance • About 20 media representatives are expected to come • Develop elaborate press kit (folder) • Press release • Corporate fact sheet, background in Bulgaria, key company projects • Photos • Design and production of branded folder and CD with the information

Press Conference - mediarelations • Media management on-site • Registration of the journalists onsite • Media management onsite – coordination of the media representatives • Distribution of press folders • Providing photo opportunities for the media • Gifts for media – to be given by assistant at the leaving of the hall • Overall event coordination and supervision will be executed on site by Agency’s involved team

Press Conference - mediarelations • Post event media relations • Distribution of the press information to the non-attending journalists after the event • Media monitoring – constantly during the execution of the project • Analysis and reporting – Media coverage report, PR executive report • Preparation of a press book with all articles covering the event

  9. Expected results • Positive media coverage on the event • Established positive working contacts with media • Marking of further opportunities for contacts with media – e.g. interviews, corporate profiles, etc. • Contribution to the overall image of the company
