WHO requested Information Summary • All Public Hospitals are now connected to the Information System of the Ministry of Health • The percentage of computers in health facilities connected to a broader network is still low • The Health Information Systems are yet to be integrated • Priority Communicable Disease Surveillance (PCDS), for which data is updated through a web-based software on a weekly basis from 70 terminals throughout the country (64 districts and 6 divisional headquarters). National Surveillance in IEDCR. • Mobile Health Service through country-wide call centers • We have MIS department in the Ministry of Health • We are yet to formulate a comprehensive privacy and confidentiality act for sensitive health data • We are currently forming HL7 Bangladesh • We have drafted an e-Health Strategy as part of our Digital Bangladesh Strategy paper e-Health & HIS in Bangladesh
