  1. Buoying STEM Skills: Request an “eBOB” Teacher Workshop! What is the “eBOB” Project? The eBOB (elementary basic observation buoy) started in 2012 as an elementary grade level STEM project that taught about the water cycle, weather and natural hazards, properties of mass, volume, and density, and characteristics of buoys. Student teams then designed and engineered a weather buoy that collected precipitation, wind speed, air temperature and water temperature. The eBOB project has expanded to reach all K-12 grade levels and incorporate new data collection technologies.
