  5. CDA VISION/MISSION • An effective and efficient regulatory agency working towards the development of viable, sustainable, socially responsive and globally competitive cooperatives. • Ensure safe and sound operations of cooperatives.

CDA INTEGRATED AND COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM • A RE-ENGINEERED FULLY FUNCTIONING CDA STRUCTURE • TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF MICRO AND SMALL SCALE COOPERATIVES INTO HALF OF ITS PRESENT NUMBER BY 2020 - TO GRADUATE INTO NEXT LEVEL • 100% OF COOPS ARE COMPLIANT WITH THE EXISTING LAWS RULES AND PROCEDURES BY 2020

  7. CDA INTEGRATED AND COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM • TO INSTITUTE SYSTEM OF MONITORING AND AND EVALUATION OF COOPS. • TO LAY THE GROUNDWORK FOR THE CREATION OF A COOPERATIVE COLLEGE.

  8. Issues and Concerns • CDA? DEVELOPMENTAL OR REGULATION? • NATIONAL FEDERATIONS TO BE DEPUTIZED IN THE SUPERVISION AND EXAMINATION OF ITS MEMBER-COOPS (par.3. Art.2, Chap.1, Coop Code of 2008) • INTEGRATED MIS FOR SUBMISSION OF MANDATORY REPORTS • STRONG PROGRAM FOR INTEGRATION, MERGER AND CONSOLIDATION

  13. Concerns • PCC NEEDS RE-CLASSIFICATION OF MEMBERSHIP AS NATIONAL APEX • INITIATE RATIONALIZATION/INTEGRATION OF STABILIZATION FUND AND CODIS • PROVE EQUAL TO THE TASK AS NATIONAL APEX COOPERATIVE

Summary • the 2020 vision of ICA, CDA and PCC are inter-related, thus need a thorough understanding, coordination and collaboration for its realization • a review and modification of the Philippine Cooperative Medium Term Development Plan with PCC as major partner and other stakeholders Is necessary
