  5. Parkview High School Band Booster Association Uniforms & Concert Dress Marching Uniforms provided. You purchase shoes and gloves. Concert dress purchased by you Boys – Tux Girls – Dress (ordered through the boosters)

  6. Parkview High School Band Booster Association Performances • Concerts held at the Parkview Theater. • Fall/Winter Concert • Spring Concert • The Concert and Symphonic Bands perform and are judged at GMEA district festival in March.

Parkview High School Band Booster Association Band Trips • Parkview Band takes a trip every other year. • The next trip is spring 2011-12 school year. • The trip is optional & paid for by the students. (they actually can earn the $.) • The trips qualifies as a school field trip. • The students may make up missed work.

Parkview High School Band Booster Association Band Trips • The last trip was to Washington D.C., it included sightseeing and concerts. • Costs for these trips are determined by location and venues. • A rough cost is communicated around December to allow families to plan their financial path. • Fundraising opportunities are available.

  11. Parkview High School Band Booster Association Marching Band Camps Schedule • Percussion Camp is the third week in July. • Rookie Camp is the last few days of the third week in July. • Band camp is the fourth week in July.

Parkview High School Band Booster Association Student Contributions • Marching Band – All Wind Instruments – $475 Marching Band – Percussion – $575 Non-Marcher – $150 Color Guard -- (set each year, last year $700) • Contributions have been frozen at this level for seven years. • Check out sports or other activities. Band is a real bargain and we set you up to earn the $.

Parkview High School Band Booster Association Student Uniform Expenses • Instrument rental (if needed) $30 per year • Marching Shoes, Socks and Gloves – $40 • Black Tux (purchased 1st year) – $85 - $150 • Matching black concert dresses (top/skirt) purchased through the Band Association at an approximate cost of $85 • Swap Shop on www.parkviewband.net has gently used marching and concert items for sale.

  17. Parkview High School Band Booster Association Fundraising • The Boosters provide many opportunities to earn your student’s contribution: • Scrip Card purchases • Gwinnett Arena Concession Stand • Honey Baked Ham • Sign Dancing at Little Caesars

Parkview High School Band Booster Association The Gwinnett Arena • $25 per person per shift to your student account. • Student and two parents work two shifts together will earn $150 towards the student account. • You can start TOMORROW earning money for your child’s dues!!   19. Parkview High School Band Booster Association Scrip Cards • Twice a month you can place an order for gift cards to your favorite stores. • Order online and write a check Orange box. (maybe pay pal soon) • One week later your cards are handed out. • Shop with them as you would with cash. The stores give a percentage back to the band.

You purchase $500 Kroger Card- you pay $500 You get a $500 card same as cash Your student account gets $17 The Band gets $3 Use for gas or groceries at any Krogers. Gift cards earn student account $. Neighbors, friends and relatives may also purchase cards.
