  3. ZAR-Design verification • In order to verify the bioclimatic design UdZ has developed several activities that allow obtaining the necessary data. • Getting the first data from Block through of optical digital network (Telemando) (WP 2.1) • Meeting with Endesa company (EDE) to define the way to get measures from electrical meters (WP 2.1 & WP 2.3) • Meeting with GasAragon in order to define the appropriated gas meter devices. (WP 2.1 & WP 2.3) • Installation finished of sensors to measure the renewable energies contribution. (WP 2.1 & WP 2.2 & WP 2.3)

  4. ZAR-local weather analysis • Acquisition of weather variables in order to analyze the local weather impact. • Sensors distributed in Valdespartera to collect data of temperature, humidity and wind.

  5. ZAR-Energy certification • Follow a schema of activities in order to develop a methodology of energy certification. The procedure includes: • Blocks simulation and energy evaluation • Blocks Thermography • Heat transfer through the building envelope (equipment in purchase process) • Blower door tests • Technical inspection to heating system (in process)

  6. ZAR-Human behaviour • Human behavior impact the performance of buildings (WP 1.5) • Inadequate ventilation, curtain and blinds in greenhouse, high temperature set have a high influence in dwelling thermal behavior

  7. Activities UdZ • (local leader on Monitoring) • Detailed presentation of WP2.1, 2.2 • + WP2.3 = done with Lyon

  8. WP 2 • Summary • WP 2.1: Integrated Energy Network • WP 2.2: Quality Control and Performance Analysis • WP 2.3: Common Monitoring and Analysis (included LYON’s activities)

  9. WP 2.1: Integrated Energy Network • State of progress 6 first months • Report action taken with reference to project work plan • Specification establishment in order to get data in the demonstrative building (construction finalization in June) • Final meeting with Power companies to define all data they provide, acquisition software, amount and frequency of data • Equipment installation finished in 10 blocks • First data acquired blocks 21 & 29 trough digital network, data from p12 & p14 locally • Blocks simulations (TSBI3 & EnergyPlus). Blocks : P13, P14, P20, P21, P27 • Thermography laboratory test to analyses several materials and wall thickness • Highlight achievements • Standardization of data from several sources • Block connection to digital network • Data acquisition from Valdespartera offices (this equipment to be changed to demonstrative building) • Explain problems and deviations from plan • Gas Equipments aren’t compatibles with automatic acquisition. • Several problems of digital network (power failures) • Physical connection between block and digital network wasn’t available in some cases, and by street works interrupting the Fiber Optic route

  10. WP 2.1: Integrated Energy Network • Equipment Installation summary • Four blocks connected to digital network • Data acquired from two blocks trough digital network • Data acquired from two blocks with locals equipment • Five blocks in standby to connect digital network

  11. WP 2.1: Integrated Energy Network • Analysis of progress • Strong / weak points • S: Good relationships with power utilities, promoters and architects • W: Works of wiring unfinished by promoter • How to improve quality of work • Demand the fulfillment of the works planned • How to exploit collaboration / networking opportunities • Explain action taken to overcome problems • major coordination between builders and technicians

  12. WP 2.1: Integrated Energy Network • Plans for the next 6 months • Calendar of action • April : Data acquisition from five blocks via digital network • Sept: First tests in the demonstrative center • Overview of local work • List of deadlines • Roadmap of key events or target groups (dissemination) • Connection entire blocks to digital network • Gathering of gas and electricity data via automatic acquisition software • Installation of an acquisition server in demonstrative center • Identification of people responsible

  13. WP 2.2: Quality Control and Performance Analysis • State of progress 6 first months • Report action taken with reference to project work plan • Follow a schema of activities in order to develop a methodology of energy certification. The procedure includes: • Blocks simulation and energy evaluation • Blocks Thermography • Heat transfer through the building envelope (equipment in purchase process) • Blowerdoor tests • Technical inspection to heating system • Renewables • Highlight achievements • Air leakages detection • Thermals bridge and heat flows detection • Explain problems and deviations from plan • Problems to detect fails in ventilated facades with Thermography. • Airflows by plugs, electrical covers and extractor hood, can modify significantly the results

  14. WP 2.2: Quality Control and Performance Analysis • Analysis of progress • Strong / weak points • S: High precision equipment available • W: Limited experience in these devices • How to improve quality of work • Increase the amount of building analized • How to exploit collaboration / networking opportunities • Explain action taken to overcome problems • Work in conjunctions with other locals partners with vast experience in thermal photography

  15. WP 2.2: Quality Control and Performance Analysis • Plans for the next 6 months • Calendar of action • May : Thermal photography finalization • Overview of local work • List of deadlines • Roadmap of key events or target groups (dissemination) • Exposition of results analysis to architects and constructors • Report about impacts of air renovation, leakages, heat losses over consumptions and energy demands • Identification of people responsible
