  3. More Info • Blue Box shaped machine that measured 17x18x7 • To enter programs or data, set toggle switches in the front • No Keyboard, video terminal or paper tape reader • First altairs came with only 256 bytes of memory, lacked output devices like printers

  4. Operating System Used MITS Altair 8800 • 2 MHz, Intel 8080 with 256 bytes standard RAM and interface with the user through the octal front panel switches
