  1. Monday, March 3, 2013 Aim: How can we outline a speech answering a question? Do Now: So far, what aspect of Public Speaking do you need to improve on the most? HW: Speeches due Wednesday!

Requirements OUTLINE Name Write the question that you will be answering. • Grabber • Main point 1 • Main point 2 • Main point 3 • Closing statement • Choose ONE question from the card. • Prepare a well organized speech thoroughly answering the question. • Speech must be a minimum 60 seconds. Maximum 100 seconds. • You will write a brief outline – due tomorrow. • You will submit a full written copy of your speech after you present on Wednesday. • Outline is due before you present your speech tomorrow!!!

  4. Grading • You will lose ONE point every time you say: ummmm, ahhhh, soooo, liiikkkee, uuhhhhh, or any other kind of space filling word vomit. • You will lose ONE point for every second your speech is under or over the required length.

  5. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 Aim: How can we write our manuscript based on our outline? Do Now: Which part of the outline was most difficult? Why? HW: Speeches will be presented tomorrow.

  6. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 Aim: How can we effective present our speeches? Do Now: Was is easier or more difficult to prepare for this speech compared to other speeches? Why?
