High physical and thermal stability, absolute inertness to the attack of gases as well as inertness to chemical attack are the benchmarks for refractories applied in this industry.   2. FCC (Fluidized Catalytic Cracking) Units Required Properties: • High Abrasion Resistance. • High Resistance to Chemicals attack. Suggested Refractories: • Highly abrasion resistant and highly inert Castable with a high purity level : PASHEAT 95. • Insulation Castable : PASULYTE 09 – thermally stable.

  3. Cyclones Required Properties: • High Abrasion Resistance. • High Resistance to Thermal Spalling. Suggested Refractories: • PAS ULCM 70TA : A Mullite-Corundum Ultra Low Cement Castable that is good at abrasion resistance and exceptionally good at Spalling Resistance. • Insulation Castable : PASULYTE 09 – thermally stable.

  6. Sulphur Recovery Units Required Properties: • Very High Refractoriness : over 1600degC. Suggested Refractories: PAS ULC 95T : A very high purity Corundum based Ultra Low Cement Castable that has exceptional Refractoriness and exceptional Spalling Resistance.

  8. Naphtha Reformer Required Properties: • Refractories that can withstand severe working conditions like hot Hydrogen combined with very high pressure. Suggested Refractories: • PASHEAT 95 : A very high purity Corundum based Dense Castable capable of withstanding the severest working conditions. 2. PASULYTE 95 : Bubble Alumina based high purity high temperature insulation castable.

  9. Vacuum Heaters / Incinerators Required Properties: • Very High Corrosion Resistance. • High Resistance to Thermal Spalling. • High Refractoriness. Suggested Refractories: PAS LC 70SC : A SiC-containing Low Cement Castable that has Excellent corrosion, high refractoriness and Spalling resistance.

  10. Ammonia Unit Required Properties: • High Refractoriness. • High Resistance to Thermal Spalling. • High Resistance to Flame Impingement. • High Resistance to Hot Corrosive Gases. Suggested Refractories: • PAS LC 70SC : A SiC-containing Low Cement Castable that has Excellent corrosion, high refractoriness and Spalling resistance. • PASULYTE 11 HiPer : For insulation. Very strong under Hydrogenous atmosphere and very strong against CO attack.

  11. Coal Gasifiers Required Properties: • High Refractoriness. • High Resistance to Thermal Spalling. • High Resistance to Hot Corrosive Gases. Suggested Refractories: • PAS LC 70SC : A SiC-containing Low Cement Castable that has Excellent corrosion, high refractoriness and Spalling resistance. • PASULYTE 11 HiPer : For insulation. Very strong under Hydrogenous atmosphere and very strong against CO attack.
