Funding Thresholds • Stepped funding levels • Small grants pot of up to £50k for each county area. • Could be taken a stage further and on a sliding scale according to eligible zones • No ring fenced amount for medium or large projects • Development Grants for large projects to undertake preparatory work. Deadline for submission of full application

  3. Appraisal Process • County specific small grants panels. Autonomous, with authority to sign off small grants Conwy Small Grants Board Denbighshire Small Grants Board Flintshire Small Grants Board

  4. Appraisal Process – Option 1 NWEAB • Single Strategic Advisory Group for the Fund, advised by a Technical Group which will review all other applications NWEAB Work streams

  5. Appraisal Process – Option 2 NWEAB • Single Strategic Advisory Group for the fund, advised by a coordinator. Provision of support for applicants. NWEAB Work streams

Strategic Advisory Group – Membership (Option 1 and 2) • LA Member • LA Directors of Regeneration • Chief Officers of CVCs • WG Regeneration Manager • Directors HE/FE • Community Representation • Private Sector Representation • RWE In order to support the links with the NWEAB it is expected that the membership of the SAC reflect the NWEAB membership.

  7. Technical Advisory Group – Membership (Option 1) • LA Regeneration Managers • LA Funding Officers • Development Officers of CVCs • WG Regeneration Team • HE/FE Funding Officers • Community Representation • Private Sector Representation • RWE In order to support the links with the NWEAB it is expected that the membership of the SAC reflect the NWEAB workstream membership.

  8. Technical Coordinator • Will be needed for both Option 1 and 2 • In Option 2 the coordinator will seek specialist and technical advise and report findings to the Strategic Advisory Group. Flexibility to seek advice from wide range of sources. • More direct support for projects applying for the development grant
