  1. Starting Up • When the Easy Fridge/Freezer Alarm is plugged into the wall it will ‘boot up’ and display the System Setup Menu • Parameter menu will appear where you will be able to: • Select a language • Set the date and time • You will also have to option of setting a password to protect the menu system

  2. This is the System Parameter Menu Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  3. Notice that ‘English’ is highlighted. If you press the ‘UP’ or ‘Down” arrow keys you can page through the choices Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  4. Push the ‘ENT’ key to select English or use the Up and Down arrow keys to select Spanish or French and then press ‘ENT’. Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  5. The highlight will move to ‘C’ indicating that all measurements will be shown in Centigrade. You can change it to ‘F” with the arrow keys or Press ‘ENT’ to accept the highlighted choice. Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  6. When you press ‘ENT’ key the highlight moves to the date field. Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  7. Use the ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ arrow keys to scroll in the correct date and time in each of the 5 fields. Push the ‘ENT’ key to move to the next field each time. Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  8. You will be asked to confirm this. Press the ‘RIGHT’ arrow key to highlight Yes and press ‘ENT’ Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  9. You will be taken back to this screen where you can set a password. Use the ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ arrow keys to scroll in a password. Press ‘ENT’ after each field. (Numbers 1-9 can be scrolled into each of the 4 fields.) Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  10. Enable the password by pressing the ‘UP’ arrow key once so it changes to ‘enabled’ and then the ‘ENT’ key to complete the setting of the password. Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  11. You are finished setting up the display.Press ‘ESC’ twice to get to the chart display. Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  12. You will be asked for to install the 9 volt battery if you have not already done so • After installing the battery the screen will change to the chart display

  13. You will see the chart display. It says ‘no data’ because the sensors are not yet connected. Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  14. Plug one or two sensors into the sockets that look like network connections on the end of the Freezer alarm

  15. A sensor setup screen will be displayed after 3 or 4 seconds. (Your screen may look different depending on what type of sensors you are using)

  16. You can change the sample rate or accept the default value. Press ‘ENT’ each time you make a change. (See the users guide for more detail on each field)

  17. Lastly you should highlight the ‘Alarm Setup’ menu and press enter to set the alarm

  18. Alarm setup menu (Your screen may look different depending on what type of sensors you are using)

  19. When you have set the alarm the way you want it press the ‘ESC’ key twice to go back to the chart display. (See the users guide for more detail on each field)

  20. Now your chart display will look similar to this, which shows two temperatures and a chart of temperature history for either the Refrigerator or Freezer. Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  21. You can flip back and forth between the two sensors by pressing the ‘ESC’ key. Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  22. Over time a temperature history line will be drawn on the chart. Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  23. You can view the last 30 hours of temperature history (if you are sampling temperature once every 10 minutes or expand the time frame to 1 year by zooming out. Two Dimensional Instruments, LLC

  24. Additional Information on this and the rest of the screens can be found in the Users Guide which can be printed out from the CD that came with your Refrigerator.
