  2. Introduction • This report details the findings from the patient survey conducted by Church Road Surgery during 08/10/12- 26/10/12. The questionnaire consists of 21 questions, and covers areas such as patient access, • The objectives of the survey is to gain patient feedback based on their most recent visit to the surgery, as well as opinions on existing aspects of the practice as a whole, i.e. practice environment, access etc. Our aim is to not only to identify areas where we are doing well, but to highlight where there is room for improvement. Patient involvement is vital for our practice success and their opinions and suggestions are imperative to us.

Additional Comments The following comments were made by patients whilst completing the questionnaire: “The telephone triage system costs too much” “You can be seen by a doctor on the same day if urgent” “I wish you still had text message reminders for appointments” “GPs are always running late” “There is limited parking” “I think the surgery is wonderful” “Reception staff need more training” “This surgery used to be a caring place, now nobody has the time of day for you” “Staff are always helpful, friendly and pleasant” “Dr Sinha? Dr Sarwar? Your illness has gone by the time you see a doctor”

  6. “The surgery is always clean and tidy” “Receptionist can sometimes be a bit loud” “Nursing staff are very helpful and caring” “2-3 weeks wait for an appointment” “Fed up of my appointments being changed at short notice either earlier time or different day” “Reception desk is not very confidential” “Dr Sarwar spends more time on his phone than dealing with me” “Would be nice to see the staff in uniform again” “ I think the triage system works really well”
