  10. Service System Proposal

  11. Group Support Unit“GSU” • Welcomes new groups & members • Outreach to groups • Informal information sharing • Orientation to service • Open attendance • “Neighborhood” based • Usually multiple GSUs for one LSU

  12. Local Service Unit“LSU” • Delivers bulk of local services (i.e. H&I, PR) • Planning (i.e. projects) • Meets less often – quarterly • Conforms to recognized geographic boundaries (i.e. counties) • Uses some form of Consensus-based Decision Making (CBDM)

  13. Local Service Unit Annual Assembly Planning Event • Gathers input • Develop goals • Sets service priorities • Wide attendance of members

  14. Local Service Board“LSB” • Meets monthly (or as needed) • Officers, delegates, project coordinators • Oversees projects • Coordinates planning assembly • Develops budgets and plans • Maintains external relationships
