Let d represent the unknown number of defective bulbs produced. = defective 3 d 12000 total 500 500 d = 12000 · 3 Cross multiply to solve for d. ÷ 500 ÷ 500 = d 72

If the perimeter of the garden is 60 feet, what is the length of the shortest side? Definitions: Similar Shapes are figures that have the same shape, but not necessarily the same size. Corresponding sides of two figures are in the same relative position. Corresponding angles of two figures are in the same relative position. Two figures are similar if and only if the length of the corresponding sides are proportional and all pairs of corresponding angles have equal measures.
