  3. Promoting women participation to the processes of reconstruction and development in the Provinces of Tyre, Zahlé, Baalbeck and in Southern BeirutAID 8479 ROSS L06-2428 Funded by Italian Cooperation, ROSS Program

Project Objective: To mitigate the impact of the recent conflict on the economic and the social conditions of the region of Tyre, Zahlé, Baalbeck and the Palestinian refugee camp of Chatila, through the active participation of women and their empowerment Funded by Italian Cooperation, ROSS Program (AID 8479 ROSS L06-2428 )

  5. Project Expected Results: • Productive activities and access to employment of women will be re-launched and strengthened after the war • Women’s role in the rebuilding and the local development process will be strengthened Funded by Italian Cooperation, ROSS Program (AID 8479 ROSS L06-2428 )

Activities: 1.1 Supporting activities to entrepreneurs women through the supply of materials and equipment. 1.2 Activities in support of business women in term of training and support for production (manufacture), marketing and management 1.3 Opening of an “orientation/assistance to work” service for women whose vulnerability has been increased by the war 2.1. Identification of women/women associations 2.2. Training and orientation for associations and women 2.3. Supporting activities to include the participation of women/women associations in the post-conflict choices (reconstruction-development) Funded by Italian Cooperation, ROSS Program (AID 8479 ROSS L06-2428)

  7. Support to Local Development and creation of a Pilot Center for Orientation at Deir El Ahmar, Bekaa, Lebanon AID 8650/RC/LBN Co-funded by Italian Ministry of Foreign Affair, Directorate General for Cooperation to Development

  8. Project objective: To give a start up to a local socio-economic development process alternative to the actual one Co-funded by Italian Ministry of Foreign Affair, Directorate General for Cooperation to Development

  9. Project Expected results: • Local stakeholders are able to interact and to formulate local integrated development strategies through the creation of a synthetic interactive and multimedia map to be used to identify available resources and to outline possible development scenarios. Constitution and activation of a Local Action Group (LAG) • The economic/agricultural operators have access to: • orientation for techniques • information on potentials of the economic sector they belong to and/or in the alternatives and • training aimed at cropping improvement • Entrepreneurs in agriculture may rely on new or improved professional operators • The inhabitants of the region have more opportunities of employment in non agricultural activities Co-funded by Italian Ministry of Foreign Affair, Directorate General for Cooperation to Development
