  1. Infertility Ends Here…

  2. What Can be done?.. What Facilities are available to cure Infertility ? IUI Treatment IVF Treatment ICSI Treatment TESA MESA TESE Embryo Freezing Blastocyst transfer Donner egg IVF PCD and PCS

  3. What is Intrauterine Insemination: IUI This is a fertility treatment that involves placing sperm inside a woman’s uterus to facilitate fertilization. The goal of IUI is to increase the number of sperm that reach the fallopian tubes and subsequently increase the chance of fertilization. IUI provides the sperm an advantage by giving it a head start, but still requires a sperm to reach and fertilize the egg on its own. It is a less invasive and less expensive option compared to in vitro fertilization. .

  4. What is intracytoplasmic sperm injection :ICSI ICSI is very similar to conventional IVF in that gametes (eggs an d sperm) are collected from each partner. The difference between the two procedures is the method of achieving fertilization. In conventional IVF, the eggs and sperm are mixed together in a dish and the sperm fertilizes the egg ‘naturally’. However to have a chance that this will occur, large numbers of actively swimming normal sperm are required. For many couples, the number of suitable sperm available may be very limited or there may be other factors preventing fertilization, so conventional IVF is not an option. ICSI has provided a hope for these couples.

  5. What is In Vitro Fertilization : IVF In Vitro Fertilization is an assisted reproductive technology (ART) commonly referred to as IVF. IVF is the process of fertilization by extracting eggs, retrieving a sperm sample, and then manually combining an egg and sperm in a laboratory dish. The embryo (s) is then transferred to the uterus. Other forms of ART include gamete intrafallopian transfer (GIFT)and zygote intrafallo pian transfer (ZIFT).

  6. What is Testicular Sperm Aspiration : TESA Testicular Sperm Aspiration (TESA) is a minor procedure that typically takes 5-10 minutes under sedation. TESA is generally an option for men with Obstructive Azoospermia where it is expected that sperm will be found easily. During the procedure, sperm is directly removed from the testes to be used in an IVF-I CSI cycle.

  7. What is microsurgical epididymal sperm aspiration : MESA Microsurgical epididymal sperm aspiration. An open surgical sperm retrieval procedure that uses an operating microscopy to locate the tubules of the epididymis precisely, so that large numbers of sperm can be extracted.

  8. What is Testicular sperm extraction : TESE Testicular sperm extraction (TESE) is the process of removing a small portion of tissue from the testicle under local anesthesia a nd extracting the few viable sperm cells present in that tissue fo r intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).[1]The testicular sperm extraction process is recommended to men who cannot produce sperm by ejaculation due to azoospermia, such as that caused by primary testicular failure, congenital absence of the vas deferens or non-reconstructed vasectomy.

  9. What is Embryo freezing Embryo freezing (cryopreservation) is a method of preserving the viability of embryos be carefully cooling them to very low te mperatures (-196oC). This is carried out in the laboratory using specialised freezing equipment and the embryos can then be safely stored in liquid nitrogen for extended periods.

  10. What is Blastocyst Culture and Transfer Blastocyst culture and transfer is a technique developed for in vitro fertilization (IVF). This procedure intends to maximize pregnancy rates while minimizing the risk of multiple pregnancies. Embryos are typically cultured for 3 days (cleavage stage with 4- 10 cells) before being transferred into the uterus. By extending the culture to 5 or 6 days (blastocyst culture), some embryos will develop to the blastocyst stage (up to hundreds of cells). This allows the embryologist to select more advanced embryos with better potential for implantation at the time of the transfer.

  11. What is Donner egg IVF Donner egg IVF is a fertility treatment in which the egg from the donor is mixed with the sperm donation from the biological father in the laboratory. If embryos are produced they are transferred to the recipient’s uterus. If this results in a pregnancy , the baby thus born will have genetic linkage to the donor of eggs.

  12. What is Pregenetic Diagnosis and Screening Preimplantation genetic diagnosis. ... The term preimplantatio n genetic screening (PGS) refers to the set of techniques for testing whether embryos (obtained through IVF/ICSI) have abnormal chromosomes' number. In other words, it tests if embryo is aneuploid or not. PGS is also called aneuploidy screening.
