  2. BACKGROUND On 26th August 2006 a woman with a pelvic fracture as a result of a road accident was admitted to the hospital in the town of Dobrich. She had three vertical fractures (61B3/AO), with disruption of the wholeness of the pelvic arch (sacrum and both pubic bones) and damaged configuration of the pelvis. During her admission she complained of pains, weakness and hypesthesia of the right lower limb. She underwent direct extension without considerable improvement.
