  2. Introduction • Name of animal: Beaver • Scientific Name of animal: Castor Canadensis • Vertebrate or Invertebrate: Vertebrate • Class of animal: Mammal • Other names of animal: Beaver

  3. How can I tell you apart from an otter? You can tell us beavers apart from an otter because we have a large flat tail and webbed hind feet. We are the largest rodent with dark brown, brown, and black fur. We can weight up to 60 pounds and we can be 3 to 4 feet long That’s how you can tell us apart from an otter.

  4. What biome’s and areas of the world do you live in? The biomes I live in are pond’s , river’s, marsh's , and streams . Here are some of the areas of the world I live in North America, Europe, and Asia. The reason why I live near water is because if a predator comes near I will use my tail and hit it on the water to either scare the predator away or warn others. That’s some of the areas I live in.

  5. Food Chain

  6. Are you a herbivore or carnivore? Us beavers are herbivores because we eat vegetables, fruit, twigs, buds, and leaves. We don’t have sharp teeth to tear into meat. We are just herbivores.

  7. How many babies can you have in a litter? The amount of kits I can have is 1 or 3 in a litter. A kit is what I call my babies . I am a mammal I give live birth. I take care of my babies until they know how to fight, defend and survive on their own in the wild That is how I give birth and raise my young.

  8. Do humans harm you and why? Humans are the biggest threat to us because humans want our fur to sell and get money. To scare away humans we smack our tail on the water and to warn each other. We have camouflage. That’s why we do those things to survive.

  9. Name: Aiden AJ

  10. What do you do in your spare time ? Us beavers spend are spare time building dams and lodges we also play tag with each other. When we swim under water are nose and eyes close. That’s what us beavers do in are spare time.
