Meningitis. Infection and inflamation of the tissue surrounding the spinal column and brain. Pathogen may be bacterial, viral, fungal or protozoa Bacterial meningitis is often lethal if not treated Symptoms include headache, stiff neck, rash, WBCs in spinal fluid, loss of conciousness.
