1. The integration of Retail Management Students into SASSE Or The Story of how Business Bella met Retail Richard

2. Time plan • 20th of September 2011 • Decision and second reading of the proposed change in SASSE statues on the SASSE Student Council Meeting and for the Student Council to officially welcome CFR students • 1st November 2011 • SSE Retail officially decides to close down their Association and become part of SASSE • 2nd of November SASSE Council Meeting • Proposition of temporary budget for SSE Retail Students during the period November 2011- March 2012

3. Organization and Structure All students allowed to both vote for and get elected into the Student Council. All students allowed to stand for election to the Board. Board is stationed at Sveavägen. All rules, policies and statutes of SASSE will apply at both locations

5. Structure of the organization • Permanent representation in Norrtälje from the Education committee and the Social Committee • All committees can be represented if there is a demand for it at a later time

6. Elections • If the integration of CFR-students is accepted, students will be able to become SASSE members from the 20th of September • All SASSE members are eligible to candidate and vote in the election • Candidates to the SASSE Board are supposed to travel to Norrtälje for one lunch prior to the election to present themselves to CFR-students • The SASSE Board will be located at Sveavägen • CFR-students are encouraged to candidate for positions in the Student Council to make sure that their voice is heard as well

7. Economy • SSE Retail will close down their operations. They will reset their accounts. • From 1st of November- 1st of March: • Separated budget for CFR due to simplicity in the beginning • From March 2012 both locations will be integrated into the same budget: • Coordination Officer (administrative cost, internal meeting and others ) under the President’s budget • Social Officer under the Social Committee • Company events under the Business Committee • Education Officer under the Education Committee • Accountable for results will be the respective SASSE Board member unless otherwise decided

8. Communication • SASSE logo is to be used in all places where eligible • Media Committee President is responsible publisher for all SASSE publications • ATT- event Guide distributed at CFR • Language Policy is valid and should be followed at both locations • Coordination Officer is responsible to communicate SASSE information to CFR-students

9. Educational Coverage • The President of the Education Committee is responsible for all educational coverage, including the BSc in Retail Management program • The Educational Officer has the responsibility to assist the EduPres in the following ways: • Beeing an alternate member of the BSc Program Committee • Upholding education coverage, acting as first contact to the Education Committee President and by managing the evaluation of the program for all CFR cohort. • Can also arrange events like the ”Book-swap-day”, Pimp my grades…

10. Social activities • Retail Richard is free to attend all pubs, dinners, game nights and all other social events arranged at Sveavägen • Equally entitled is Business Bella to attend all events happening in Norrtälje • The Gasque for 1st-year students will still be held on separate locations due to space restrictions • Retail Richard will be able to buy his ticket at Sveavägen if there’s a lot of demand on tickets, otherwise the Social Officer can sell the tickets. • The SASSE insurance will cover all SASSE members, regardless of program one attends

11. Business and Company Relations • All companies having a presentation at SSE are able to choose their preferred target group. (Year of study, specializations and so forth) • With the integration of SSE Retail Management an additional specialization in the BSc program will presented for the companies to choose from. • Pricing will still be based on exclusivity and on how many students the company wants to meet. No changes in pricing will be implemented after the merger. • All Student Association sponsors in Norrtälje will be rebranded from ”Main Sponsors” to ”Retail Sponsors”. Retail Sponsors will only be able to expose themselves on Retail Management events in Norrtälje.

Business Committee • The Business Committee will be responsible for all Company events at CFR • Two CFR-students will have the main responsibility of arranging company-presentations at CFR and report to the Business Committee Vice-president • CFR-students are to be encouraged to participate in the Business Committee and will have the possibility to contact retail-focused companies both at Sveavägen and in Norrtälje • One project manager will be selected (via an application process) to run the Retaildagen which is to be branded as a SASSE event

13. Retail Clubs • Retail Clubs are separated from SASSE • Retail Clubs & companies will be informed on the new situation and how this affects them • The Retail Clubswillhave the same opportunity of exposure at CFR as before this will not include exposure at Sveavägen • Companies will follow the SASSE company policy as long as they market themselves through SASSE

14. Scenario 1 Two company presentations, different target groups, different sites. An exclusivity issue? Company 1 wants to target BSc RM students and host a presentation in Norrtälje and Company 2 wants to target BSc. Since no group could attend the other presentation and marketing of both events would only be made on the different sites an exception of the exclusivity occurs. Both presentations will be hosted during the same time at different sites.

15. Scenario 2 Business Bella wants to attend a presentation in Norrtälje Since companies choose their target group BSc BE wouldn’t be allowed to attend the presentation if its targeted towards the BSc RM program. If no preferences where made, Bella is of course free to attend the presentation.

16. Scenario 3 Retail Richard wants to attend a presentation at Sveavägen Since companies choose their target group BSc RM wouldn’t be allowed to attend the presentation if the company set another target group. If no preferences where made, Richard is of course free to attend the presentation.

17. Scenario 4 Companies wants to have the whole spectra and chooses to invite students from all programs and years. If a company chooses to invite all the students, all students would be able to attend. Companies will however be advised to host the presentations targeted towards BE students at Sveavägen. Retail Richard would then have to travel to Sveavägen to attend the presentation under the same rules and regulations as any member of SASSE.

18. To sum up Business Bella and Retail Richard will try to make the integration as smooth as possible, some measures will of course have to be evaluated and worked upon later on when we now which problems exist. There is only so much you can think about in theory, the rest we will just have to figure out along the way. Hopefully we will find Bella and Richard happily in a corner of the Rotunda in the future.
