  4. HISTORY • The Library was established in 1981 with its parent Organization. The Library of the college is named as the MALTI JAYANT DALAL LIBRARY of the L.S. Raheja College of Arts & Commerce from May 22, 1984. The Library moved to L. S. RAHEJA COLLEGE BUILDING in 1985. The Library has completed 32 years and houses thousands of books in its collection

  7. Library Rules • Identity card is must while visiting and using the library. • Readers shall not write upon, damage, or make any mark upon any book, journal or magazine, or other material belonging to the library.

Library Rules • Any reader observing a defect, or damage to any book or manuscript shall point out the same to the Library Staff immediately. • Borrowers must satisfy themselves about the physical condition of the book before borrowing. Otherwise they will be responsible for any damage at the time of returning.

  9. Library Rules • Books borrowed on a particular day will not be accepted for return on the same day. • Mobile Should be Switched Off OR kept on Silent Mode inside library. Mobile Use is restricted in Reading Areas

Semester I, III and V You will have exam. as follows – • Internal Assessment -- 25 marks ( 40 minutes ) • Semester End Exam. -- 75 marks ( 2 and ½ Hrs. ) • Internal Assessment of 25 marks will consist of -- • Unit Test -- 20 marks • Active participation in class etc. -- 5 marks • Semester End exam. of 75 marks will consist of – 5 Questions of 15 marks each with internal options. Questions may be sub-divided into sub-questions like a, b, c etc.

Regular attendance record of students is maintained as per the ordinances 119, 119a, 120 and 125 relating to minimum attendance ,discipline and performance of the students of the mumbai university. • 75% attendance is compulsory. • Students are supposed to submit proper documents • in case of not attending minimum of 75% attendance • in each of the subjects. • Attendance committee will display black list before the end of 1st and 2nd semester exams. • Students failed to follow the rules of attendance • Won’t be allowed to appear in exams or the result will • Be with held.

Aims & Objectives of the Cell • Prevent sexual harassment & promote general well being of female students, teaching & non teaching women staff • Provide appropriate working conditions in respect of work • Provide guidelines for the redressal of grievances related to sexual harassment of female students and staff • Create social awareness about problems of women and gender discrimination

Seeking participation of both male and female students taking part in the NCC, NSS & other activities, for the prevention of sexual harassment of women • Encourage participation of NGO’s working in the area of women development • Organise seminars and workshops for creation of general awareness and for the orientation of students, teachers and non - teaching staff • Organize various types of Training programmes to encourage self reliance among women. ___________
