  2. background • Midi Matilda is a indie band out of the San Francisco bay area, they have recently gained more attention as an upcoming band. • With this project the ads are to advertise ticket sales for their upcoming concert

  3. process • Create ads to sell tickets for Midi Matilda’s concert • Come up with a concept to develop ads, research similar material out on the web • Develop idea into ads that will show the message of what I am trying to achieve.

  4. Target Audience • The crowd listening Midi Matilda’s music is young from ages 18-25. The audience is a young crowd interested in indie music and are always looking for new bands to listen to. They enjoy going to concerts where the atmosphere is fun and will usually attend a few concerts per year.

  6. Call to action • The main text in this project is focused on tickets. With sayings of “get tickets now” “buy now” and “find tickets” • With these phrases I want to get the audience’s attention to buy tickets for the upcoming concert.

  9. Competitive landscape • Competitors for Midi Matilda would be other indie bands out of the San Francisco bay area with similar sounds. Spencer Owen who also incorporates a variety of instruments and sounds into his songs creating catchy songs. • Midi Matilda differs from competitors by having a different style of music from other bands but that it is still similar enough other people will enjoy.

Business objectives • The goal of this project is to create advertisements that will be seen online, on ticket selling sites. • The ads will be to sell concert tickets for the upcoming tour. • With the ads I am showing that tickets are now on sale, trying to get the audience to purchase tickets.

Metrics for measuring success • With the ads I am trying to get the attention of the music audience to buy tickets for this band. • The success of this could be measured by how many tickets would sell, ideally selling out a concert would be great because it would bring more recognition for the band.

  12. conclusion • This project is to create ads for a brand of our choice. I have chosen to do the ads for ticket sales for Midi Matilda and indie band out of San Francisco bay area. • The project would be successful to the client because it would increase ticket sales for their concerts. With the ads more people will see that there is an upcoming concert and that they can purchase tickets.
