  1. The important thing about that freedom train, is it's got to climb mountains. We ALL have to climb mountains, you know Mountains that go way up high, and mountains that go deep and low.

  2. Chris Gardner, his wife Linda and his son Cristopher live together until Linda leaves. She can’t stand the situation: he has no job, and his promises of future wealth are no longer believable. He loses his house, his bank account, and credit cards. Forced to live out in the streets with his son, Gardner is now desperate to find a steady job; he takes on a job as a stockbroker, but before he can receive pay, he needs to go through 6 months of training, and to sell his devices.

  3. A way of behaving a way of being TRUST AND BELIEVE Chris Gardner’s life hadn’t been easy at all. He was broke but felt the obligation of fighting to achieve his goals and also to protect his son. He ends up being a millionaire after having lived as an indigent, and all this because he trusted in himself. If you want, you can. Christopher Gardner: Hey. Don't ever let somebody tell you... You can't do something. Not even me. All right? Christopher: All right. Christopher Gardner: You got a dream... You gotta protect it. People can't do somethin' themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want somethin', go get it. Period.

  4. HARD WORK AND SACRIFICE When Chris Gardner finds out that he is homeless and with only twenty dollars in his pocket, he doesn’t give up. He takes Christopher to the kindergarten, works hard in the morning without a salary and must leave work early everyday to pick his son up, then he goes to the hostel without the guarantee to get a room to sleep at night. While Christopher sleeps, he tries to repair one of his scanners broken by a poor hippie, and he also has to study to get a workstation as a stockbroker. He sacrifices his time to study and to take care of Christopher and make him feel good.

  5. FORTITUDE His situation is extreme, he’s under pressure to get the job. However, he is always kind to his customers and employers, he never seems to be thinking about his situation when he is with others ad specially with Christopher, though this gets more difficult as the story progresses. Christopher: Hey dad, you wanna hear something funny? There was a man who was drowning, and a boat came, and the man on the boat said "Do you need help?" and the man said "God will save me". Then another boat came and he tried to help him, but he said "God will save me", then he drowned and went to Heaven. Then the man told God, "God, why didn't you save me?" and God said "I sent you two boats, you dummy!. He is always optimistic so he always tries to look the bright side of everything.

  6. CONCLUSION Christopher Gardner: It was right then that I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson on the Declaration of Independence and the part about our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I remember thinking how did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue and maybe we can actually never have it. No matter what. How did he know that? This is Chris Gardner’s final conclusion. Happyness is not something that it is easily achieved, in addition, we might not be able to pursuit it totally. But to live happy moments it is important to work hard and to be moved bu love. This is called prosperity, this can be considered happyness.

  7. A long walk to Wall Street is how others describe my life. But when i look back at the journey from homelessness to prosperity, I hold one thing dearer than all else, my commitement to my son. This is our story.
