  5. Background of the Vidyalaya • Established in 1982 by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan • Vidyalaya runs in two shifts. Shift – I with XII (Science/Commerce), while Shift – II with XII in Science / Humanities • One of the Biggest Kendriya Vidyalayas in India, especially in Jabalpur Region with 14. 99 acres land & 78 rooms • 106 academic & Miscellaneous staff • 5 Clerical staff • 3000 students • Vidyalaya is affiliated to CBSE

Existing Infrastructure 3 Computer Labs with 72 computers with 1: 24 ratio A fully developed Primary Resource Room Mathematics Laboratory cum Secondary Resource Room at developing stage A well furnished Library with more than 12000 books for students excluding Primary Libraries being functional in primary classrooms Fool Proof Security System in Corridors Parents Lounge in developing stage Centralized Telephone system for teachers and students A well Developed Garden Well equipped Physics / Chemistry and Biology Laboratories

Future Plans To ensure all the programmes are compliant with NCF – 2005 that is constructivist methods of teaching Making Vidyalaya functional to pro-Nature & Environment Developing Professional Attitude among the staff of the Vidyalaya both academic and non-academic Plans for virtual teaching – learning and design of the website is in progress
