Who is Eligible to take the CMA?
  • Has an IEP that includes grade level CA content standards-based goals
  • Previous STAR Scores
    • Score of below basic or far below basic on the CST
    • Score of proficient or advanced on CAPA (level 2-5) for two years
  • Has access to grade level curriculum, instruction, and materials with special ed. support

Preparing Accommodations, Modifications, and Variations

  • Review IEP and 504 Plans for accommodations/modifications that must be made available to students
  • Prepare variations that will be used by English learners during testing
  • Only hand-grid AFTER testing if student actually used the variation, accommodation, or modification
