  24. Continual Framework • Upon the IT Council’s acceptance of the ITMA XII class deliverable, the IT Personnel Professional Development – Training Curriculum and Course Catalog, we recommend the following next steps be considered to ensure its continued success by the IT Council. Through additional efforts in marketing, distribution, implementation and maintenance of our project deliverable we feel confident this goal can be realized.

  25. Continual Framework • The Training Curriculum and Course Catalog are dynamic, living documents. While the Course Catalog’s format, design and layout standards have been established, the content will need to be continuously updated and maintained to ensure it remains an effective training support tool. • The tasks listed in the following slides require actions beyond the project deliverable date of June 24, 2005:

  26. ITMA XII members to present the Training Curriculum and Course Catalog to the IT Council on July 15, 2005. • Distribute the Training Curriculum and Course Catalog to the State IT Community (complete within two months). • Establish a process to maintain the Training Curriculum and Course Catalog (complete within six months). • Market the Curriculum and Catalog. • Create an ongoing workgroup/committee specific to the maintenance of the Curriculum and Catalog. • Plan for future enhancements to the Training Course Catalog (CD)

  27. Continual Framework Presentations Next Steps Distribute Market Training Curriculum & Course Catalog Maintain Future Enhancements Establish Workgroup

  28. Continual Framework • The establishment of a special workgroup, in partnership with the IT Human Resourcescommittee, provides the key for developing a long term strategy for marketing, distributing and maintaining this document, as well as encouraging training opportunities for the State IT community. • These recommendations are considered essential to the continued success of our project deliverables and more importantly, to the overall success of the Strategic Plan’s objective to provide professional development for technology personnel within the State of California.

  29. Continual Framework • We thank you for the opportunity to provide assistance in this critical endeavor.
