  5. MajorChanges in 2013 • Most scholarships used for any course preference • Increased value • Cash rather than CSP • Start up bursary for all in financial difficulty • Scholarship for contribution to social inclusion

  6. The Sir John Monash Scholarship Program 2013 will see the introduction of one of the most generous and comprehensive scholarship programs in the country

Monash Scholarship for Exceptional Achievement • ATAR: 99.95 (90.00 for Indigenous Australians) • Value: Up to $70,000 • For: Domestic or international students completing an Australian Year 12 or IB. Unlimited number • The Package • $12,000 p.a • $4,000 Global Experience Grant • Leadership program in 1st year • Mentor in 2nd year or beyond • Annual Healthy Lifestyle Package • Airfare for interstate students • Priority access to on-campus accommodation

  8. Monash Scholarship for Outstanding Achievement • ATAR: 99.90 (85.00 for Indigenous Australians) • Value: Up to $40,000 • For: Domestic students completing an Australian Year 12 or IB. Unlimited number • The Package • $6,000 p.a. • $4,000 Global Experience Grant • Leadership program in 1st year • Mentor in 2nd year or beyond • Annual Healthy Lifestyle Package • Airfare for interstate students • Priority access to on-campus accommodation

  9. Monash Scholarship for Excellence • ATAR: 98.00 • Value: Up to $30,000 • For: Highest achieving domestic Year 12 or IB students above ATAR threshold. 40 available. • The Package • $6,000 p.a.

  10. Monash International Scholarship for Excellence • ATAR: 98.00 • Value: Up to $50,000 • For: Highest achieving International student completing an Australian Year 12 or IB above ATAR threshold. • 10 available. • The Package • $10,000 p.a. • Scholarship still to be approved and confirmed

Monash Scholarship for Excellence and Equity • ATAR: 95.00 • Value: Up to $30,000 • For: Financial hardship and other forms of disadvantage. • The most disadvantaged amongst domestic student • completing an Australian Year 12 or IB above the ATAR threshold. 130 available to school leavers. • The Package • $6,000 p.a.

  12. Monash Community Leaders Scholarship • ATAR: 90.00 • Value: $6,000 for one year. Potential for extension. • For: Domestic students above the ATAR threshold showing commitment and capacity to make a difference. • The Package • Become Access Monash Ambassadors • $6,000 renewable

Deans Scholarships • Available for all students admitted to selected Deans Scholars Programs • Value: $6,000 p.a. • Faculty based (varied values) • Architecture • Fine Art • Visual Communication • Accounting • Engineering • Women in Engineering • Information Technology • Women in Information Technology • IT –Industry based learning • Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences • Gippsland campus • Gippsland Industry Placement Other major merit scholarships

  16. Vice-Chancellor’s Access Monash Scholars • ATAR: 90.00 (94.00 for Law). All indigenous students offered the Scholarship for Exceptional Achievement or Scholarship for Outstanding Achievement are also eligible. • For: Students with financial disadvantage • The program offers: • Guaranteed entry (or interview)to all* courses at Monash (*Medicine and Physio offer additional interviews) • Monash UniStart bursary: $1000

  17. Monash UniStart Bursary • For financially disadvantaged students • All eligible domestic commencers receive the bursary. • Value: Minimum $500

  18. Monash Indigenous Scholarship for Achievement and Equity • Value: Up to $30,000 • For: Indigenous Australian with consideration given to other forms of disadvantage. • The Package • $6,000 p.a. • Priority access to on-campus accommodation

  19. Monash University Support Bursary • Value: Up to $15,000 • For: Financial hardship with consideration given • to other forms of disadvantage • The Package • $3,000 p.a.

  20. Monash University Rural Housing Bursary Value:$6,000 for one year For: Those from regional or remote areas with financial hardship and with consideration given to other forms of disadvantage
