  1. Flies Georgia Pardon 2nd Flies and their Energy senses

  2. Flies like to live around rotting food, animal feces, and decaying meat, or basically any place you wouldn’t want to be. Usually they live in horse stables, trash bins, and feed lots, because they provide at least one of the things they like. They would rather be around a warmer climate, but they can live in some cold areas. Where Do Flies Live?

  3. Fly larvae like to feed upon decaying meat and animal feces. Adult flies, however, like to eat something with a better taste; nectar, rotting fruit, etc. They can eat anything that is sugary (which kind of sounds like some teenagers). <- This fly is eating some fruit What do flies eat?

  4. Flies are the prey of many animals. Some of them including birds, bats, spiders, and insects (such as dragonflies). But those only eat the adults; Predatory and parasitic insects eat larvae (Because they are so small). <- A fly’s worst nightmare -> Is there anything that preys on flies?

  5. Each eye has 3,000 lens. We only have one. In fact, a fly’s eye is the most complex eye in the whole world. • Flies taste, smell, and feel with the hair that covers their body (so if a fly walks on something, he can taste it with his feet). Cool, huh? • Flies walk on smooth surfaces using sticky, soft pads that act like glue. That is how they’re able to walk on things upside-down! How do flies use/sense energy?

  6. They can find yummy food without having to really taste it • They can help with the decomposition of dead animals • They are able to see predators more easily, and therefore are harder to catch With these eyes, they can see predators coming How do they use this?

  7. They make it so there are less dead animals and feces lying around • They provide food for bats and birds (and we love those guys, right?) • Some flies help pollinate plants, and that gives us pretty flowers to look at and more delicious food to eat Why do we need flies?
