  3. In this presentation we will explain the basic instruments to perform nice septal surgery.

  4. Scalpel handle We use No. 15 blade

  5. Nasal speculum Two different size we need. First we start by small one

  6. Freer dissector It is very important, has two ends: One is sharp.. Start first Other is blunt .. for Further dissection.

  7. Tissue forceps Toothed and non toothed

  8. Septal knife Important instrument, specially for separation of mucoperiosteal flap from maxillary crest.

  9. Gorney suction dissector Dissect and make suction at same time

  10. Heymann scissors To cut the septal cartilage.

  11. Blakesley forceps To fracture & remove the deviated deep part of the septum, like vomer or plate of ethmoid.

  12. Gouge & Hummer To remove deviated maxillary crest.

  13. Needle holder, scissors

  14. SMD (Binner) Probe It is special needle connected with bipolar electrocautery.

  15. Important materials - jetokain. • Dental syrange. • Vicryl 4/0. • Nasal splint.
