  1. HOW OUR CHOCOLATE COVERED DATES RECIPE WON HEARTS? Christmas food shopping is crazy right? And it’s fully swinging here. The supermarkets and markets are now filled with Christmas fare, there are numerous choices on offer and it’s all very tempting. I always want to shop for everything, you know, all the things you’re alleged to patronize Christmas, just like the bags of nuts, and therefore the lovely boxes of clementines with the leaves on, all the cheese, the cakes and that I always buy dates. I always buy dates then I’m left thinking what to try to do with them, I mean there are only numerous power balls you'll eat, and that I kind of think that they deserve quote that, and albeit they're great in savory dishes I prefer them as a sweet treat. So say hello to chocolate covered, spread stuffed dates. So once I found this recipe from Half Baked Harvest I knew that this is able to be perfect for my dates which will otherwise languish in my cupboard or become power balls as a final resort. I even have adapted the recipe a touch bit, but not much. I just about nailed that recipe so there was no need to fiddle with it an excessive amount as far as I’m concerned I don’t often share recipes during a blog post from other blogs but sometimes I make an exception if I feel you’ll appreciate the recipe and should haven't seen it already.

  2. These bittersweet chocolate-covered dates are full of spread and have an honest sprinkling of pistachio crumble. they're the best cold so keep them within the fridge in an airtight container, they ought to keep for a couple of days, but to be honest they didn’t last very long here! they're sweet and gooey and have a touch of saltiness from the spread, and that they have that tiny extra crunch from the pistachios. I used smaller deglet your dates as I wanted these to be little nuggets of sweet happiness and deglet nor are a touch chewier than Medjool dates and a touch less sweet. you'll keep my recipe and use Medjool dates if you would like. I also used crunchy spread for extra crunch and topped them with crumbled pistachios but you'll swap in the other nut or seed you've got handy. In other news, we are all back to our normal routines in the week, and that i was very excited and slightly nervous to possess my very first interview for radio yesterday!! The very lovely Dr. Sue Bailey from the Flavour program on Cambridge 105 interviewed me about my blog, I’ll share it with you when it's aired, that’s if they don’t plan to ditch it once they hear me ramble and on, oh i feel I'm happiest with my keyboard and behind the cam
