  1. What do you See? Mark 8:22-26

  2. Proof of the Messiah: Jesus • The healing of blindness was one of the ways people of Jesus’ day could know that He was the Messiah. If they questioned His identity Jesus responded by doing things the Messiah was foretold to perform. • Jesus is the Great Healer

  3. Production of a Miracle: it took time to see everything clearly With gentleness and sensitivity and personal care, Jesus takes the man away from the crowds and finds a quiet place. The man had never seen Jesus’ face, but he knows TOUCH. The Savior’s touch transformed him.

  4. Do you see anything? There are times when we sense God’s touch, and we become aware and sensitive to His hand in our lives.

  5. The Personal Touch A gradual process: Ever-expanding Vision In a day of instant gratification, anything that signals a gradual or long-term process doesn’t interest us. But sometimes, God’s best work takes time. The more deeper that things are entrenched within us, the more we need a second touch from God. Then, our vision is expanded, and our focus is clearer. Our perspective is changed, and we can see things from God’s vantage point.

  6. In what way do you need a second healing touch? Have you been wounded emotionally? Maybe you’ve been abused or neglected or mistreated? Overlooked; ignored; feeling slighted or even despised; misunderstood. You may need that second touch from the Lord today. Without it, the wound will grow embittered in the days and even years to come. The hurt will grow and expand from anger to resentment to bitterness. The pain will only burrow deeper. Your focus will turn inward, becoming darker and dimmer.

  7. When Jesus touches your hurtful wound, then healing will start. That’s when you will be able to forgive. Sometimes, it’s a second touch of God in the area of priorities. Do the things that matter the most get the most attention? If not, why not put that list in the Lord’s hand; Let Him touch it and rearrange it.

  8. What do your priorities reflect about you? Is your world narrow and selfish? Do you live for today or eternity? Do you live for some god of yesterday or tomorrow, rather than for Him who is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow? Do you worship the gods of money and materialism? Do they own your heart? Do they drive you? Do they dictate how you invest your life? These questions help give clarity to spiritual vision that is blurred.

  9. What is the need that you need Jesus to touch? Is it something spiritual, physical, emotional or spiritual? Jesus will use TIME in your healing process. Transformation is a gradual process which occurs as we walk with the Savior along the way. Ask Jesus to touch you; to enlarge your faith in Him and to obey Him.

  10. If you feel blinded about what is going on in your life, ask Jesus to TEACH you so that you can SEE spiritually---see things from His vantage point.
