    1. “Humankind cannot stand very much reality.” TS Elliot If reality is perception, how do you feel the world perceives you?

    2. “It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.” ~ Henry David Thoreau Did yesterday’s class change any perceptions you nay have had of your group members?

    3. “Love isn't finding a perfect person. It's seeing an imperfect person perfectly.” Sam Keen Think about things you may feel are ‘imperfect’ about yourself. Next list all of the people whom you know love you; not just parent/guardians, but friends, teachers, etc. How do the people you have listed view your ‘imperfections’? Or do you think they see them at all? How much of what you perceive to be true of yourself do you think others see? Do you think it is possible to love someone that is “imperfect’? Or, as that quote implies, does love erase imperfections?

    4. Everyone is a prisoner of his own experiences. No one can eliminate prejudices - just recognize them. Edward R. Murrow (1908 - 1965), television broadcast, December 31, 1955 How does the juxtaposition of environment and personality determine how you perceive others?

    6. “In true dialogue, both sides are willing to change.”  Thich Nhat Hanh Do you change your mind often? What motivates you to think differently about people? Do you let what others say influence your thinking?

    7. Collective fear stimulates herd instinct, and tends to produce ferocity toward those who are not regarded as members of the herd. Bertrand Russell Do you feel that you ‘follow the herd’ or are you willing to strike off on your own? Do you ever see examples of a ‘group herd mentality’ at GK?

    8. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. Anais Nin Do you think it is acceptable to say or do what you want? Do you believe humans are creatures of instinct or training? When does the line between childhood and adulthood blur and disappear…or does it?

    9. “I feel my heart break to see a nation ripped apart by it's own greatest strength--it's diversity.” Melissa Etheridge Is it legal or moral influence that decides national cohesion?

    10. Everyone is a prisoner of his own experiences. No one can eliminate prejudices - just recognize them. Edward R. Murrow (1908 - 1965), television broadcast, December 31, 1955 How does the juxtaposition of environment and personality determine how you perceive others?

    11. When dealing with people, let us remember we are not dealing with creatures of logic. We are dealing with creatures of emotion, creatures bustling with prejudices and motivated by pride and vanity. Dale Carnegie Do you believe you are controlled by logic or emotion? When do the two clash? When do they compliment each other?

    12. “You shall know the truth…and the truth shall set you free.” John 8:32 The Bible Do you always tell the truth? When, if ever, is necessary to lie?

    13. I am a human being, so nothing human is strange to me. Terence,The Self-Tormentor What would you classify as your ‘culture’ at GK? Is your culture static (unchanging) or fluid?

    14. What is it that you think you are supposed to do… with your life?

    15. I am a human being, so nothing human is strange to me. Terence, The Self-Tormentor What would you classify as your ‘culture’ at GK? Is your culture static (unchanging) or fluid?
