  7. If I was / were a rich man, I’d buy lots of yard gnomes. If this was / were Friday, we’d celebrate! I think buying gnomes was / were the right choice. If school was / were more interesting, I wouldn’t fall asleep. I think students would like school if there was / were more gnomes.
