  37. Market Design – Alternative Solution‘Back to Basics’

  38. High Level Plan • Drafting of documents and Visio diagrams will be carried out by RMDS and absorbed into operational workload • Target for completion approx. June 2014 • Website changes necessary to accommodate new format of Market Design • If possible these changes could be carried out this year and documents could be updated to new location as and when a document is complete. • During this transition period ARIS will continue to be the main published version of the Market Design • Link to ARIS will remain for 2014 and possibly 2015

  39. Amendments to RMDS Website to facilitate Market Business Processes and Diagrams

  40. Option 1 – Amend ReMCoDS page • To keep changes to a minimum leave all as is except for ReMCoDS page • Re-Name ‘MARKET DESIGN’ • Menu Options • Co-Ordinated Market • RoI Market

  41. Option 2 – Proposal for full re-design of website • Use a generic but contemporary site template to reduce build time & costs. • Reasons: • Opportune time to re-organise and more cost effective in terms of effort for testing • Look and feel of site out-dated • Too many menu options (10 main headings) • Navigation could be improved • Information could be more logically stored • 4 Main Headings – Home Page, Market Entry, Market Design, Market Calendar • Market Design is the core activity so would house all Market Design documentation • Sub Options for Co-Ordinated Market and RoI Market

  42. Existing RMDS Site Too many Main Heading Options. Navigation to correct option could be improved. Modernise?

  43. RMDS Customer Satisfaction Survey – Website Questions Frequency of use Ease of Navigation Content Rating

  44. Next Steps • CER Approval to move from ARIS • Approval on website design • Option 1 – Basic changes • Option 2 – Website redesign • ‘Window of Opportunity’ now so quick decision will see website work complete by end of year • Developing the Market Processes will be initiated immediately by RMDS
