Gen. 13:12, When Lot separated from his uncle Abraham, he chose the best for himself and “pitched his tent even as far as Sodom.”

  16. Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • ¿Qué dijo su esposa de eso? Le convenía persuadirle que andaban mal. El materialismo destruye muchas familias. • What did his wife say about that? She should have persuaded him that they were doing wrong. Materialism destroys many families.

Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • En lugar de apoyar a su marido en obedecer a Dios, desobedeció, queriendo salirse con la suya, ella perdió su vida y Lot perdió su esposa. • Instead of supporting her husband in obeying God, she disobeyed, wanting to have her own way, she lost her life and Lot lost his wife.

  23. Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • Creo que cada marido piensa que se ha casado con mujer inteligente. Por eso, conviene escucharla y consultarle. Muchas veces ella piensa con más claridad que el marido. • I imagine that every husband thinks that he has married an intelligent wife. Therefore, he should listen to her and consult her. Many times she thinks more clearly than her husband.

  25. Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • Su hijo famoso era el profeta Samuel quien fue dedicado al Señor para servir en el tabernáculo desde la niñez. • Her famous son was the prophet Samuel who was dedicated to the Lord to serve in the tabernacle from childhood.

  26. Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • Toda mujer debe imitar a Ana, dedicando a su hijo o hija al servicio de Dios, no en el tabernáculo, sino en su vida diaria. De esta manera Ana era una “ayuda idónea” ideal. • Every woman should imitate Hannah, dedicating her son or daughter to God, not in the tabernacle, but in their daily life. Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • Tito 2:4, “enseñen a las jóvenes a que amen a sus maridos, a que amen a sus hijos, a ser prudentes, puras, hacendosas en el hogar, amables, sujetas a sus maridos, para que la palabra de Dios no sea blasfemada”. • Titus 2:4, “admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.”

Es su papel principal, para su propia felicidad y para la de su marido e hijos. • In this way the woman is a “suitable helper.” This is her principal role, for her own happiness and for that of her husband and children.

And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold.”

Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • JEZABEL, ESPOSA DEL REY ACAB. 1 Reyes 16:31, “tomó por mujer a Jezabel, hija de Et-baal, rey de los sidonios, y fue a servir a Baal y lo adoró”. • JEZEBEL, WIFE OF KING AHAB. 1 Kings 16:31, “he married Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went to serve Baal and worshiped him.”

Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • Acab era rey de Israel, pero se casó con una mujer pagana (“de los sidonios”) que adoraba ídolos y debido a su fuerte influencia sobre él, era uno de los peores reyes de Israel. • Ahab was a king of Israel, but he married a pagan woman (“of the Sidonians”) who worshipped idols and due to her strong influence over him, was one of the worst kings of Israel.

Acab estaba muy triste y Jezabel le quería “ayudar”. • 1 Reyes 21. Ahab wanted the vineyard of Naboth but he did not want to sell it to him because it was an inheritance from his fathers. Ahab was very sad and Jezebel wanted to “help” him.

  38. Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • Mandó que dos hombres perversos acusaran a Nabot de blasfemar a Dios y al rey para que lo apedrearan y luego Acab podía tomar posesión de la viña. And he took for himself a potsherd with which to scrape himself while he sat in the midst of the ashes. 9 Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!"

  41. Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • ¡Qué buena “ayuda idónea”! En lugar de animarle a persistir en su fidelidad, le quiere desanimar y aun denunciar a Dios mismo. • What a good “suitable helper”! Instead of encouraging him to persist in his fidelity, she wants to discourage him and even denounce God Himself.

  42. Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • Dios dijo que Job era perfecto (1:1) y Satanás dice que sólo servía a Dios por interés. Por eso, Dios estaba permitiendo a Satanás a poner a Job a prueba. • God said that Job was perfect (1:1) and Satan said he only served God for what he could get out of it. Therefore God was permitting Satan to put Job to the test.

Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • Mujer de Lot se hace cómplice de Satanás. ¿Qué prueba podría ser más terrible que esta, de que su propia esposa hablara así? • Job’s wife becomes an accomplice of Satan. What trial could be more terrible that this, that his own wife would talk like this?

  44. Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • ELISABET, ESPOSA DE ZACARÍAS. Luc. 1:5, “Hubo cierto sacerdote llamado Zacarías, que tenía por mujer una que se llamaba.. Elisabet..” • ELISABETH, WIFE OF ZECHARIAH. Lk. 1:5, “There was a certain priest named Zacharias. His wife’s name was Elizabeth.”

  45. Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • 6. Ambos eran justos delante de Dios, y andaban irreprensibles en todos los mandamientos y preceptos del Señor”. • 6. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.”

Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • Cuántos evangelistas, ancianos y otros se han avergonzado y su influencia prácticamente destruida por la conducta de la esposa. • How many evangelists, elders and others have been shamed and their influence practically destroyed by the conduct of the wife.

  47. Una Ayuda Idónea – A Suitable Helper • AMBOS eran justos y se conducían intachable-mente en TODOS los mandamientos y preceptos del Señor. El marido era sacerdote y la esposa le apoyaba en todo. • This is indeed being “a suitable helper.” BOTH were just and conducted themselves blamelessly in ALL the commandments of the Lord. The husband was a priest and the wife supported him in everything.

Mk. 6:18, “John had said to Herod, "It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife." Therefore Herodias held it against him and wanted to kill him, but she could not.”
