  4. What is “Operation Lion Heart”? Photo of a 9 year old Iraqi boy, injured by violent explosions in the war The boy was brought to Oakland, CA for dozens of life-and-death surgeries His courage lead the nurses to nickname him “Lion Heart”

  5. What is “Operation Lion Heart”? Because of his nickname and strong, loving personality, nurses and doctors started the tradition of bringing him a new stuffed lion before every surgery, and left them by him throughout it

The author of this image was greatly upset by how everyone was concerned with what Iraq had done to America, how America was only doing what seemed necessary, and less concerned with how we were also hurting innocent people who were in no way involved, like this young boy
