Financing RDI at European level To start – Brainstorming activities • What are the main reasons and interest for your organization to apply for a RDI European project? • You have an idea for a research or innovation project? • You need to upgrade the skills or the capacity of your research ? • You would like to undertake research and innovation activities ? • You are a cluster manager who seeks to internationalise a cluster and make it more innovative ? • You are engaged in commercial innovation activities ?

Financing RDI at European level How to apply? • Discover the right funding • define the innovation areas in which the organisation wants to work by conducting an organisational analysis to understand what are the critical innovation needs • the innovation team should focus on identifying which entities promote proper innovation programs and on selecting the type of funding that can be used by the organisation, generating a pipeline of funding programs covering a period of 2/3 years. • Take a scan of the program • run a full examination on the rules and legal implications of interesting programmes • identify the requirements needed to apply to the funding • decide which are the programs to target and put together a time plan for the application activities. • Prepare proposals • develop the proposal to meet the programme requirements • take advantage of internal expertise to prepare these documents • consider join an already functioning consortium as partner instead of taking the lead in the proposal preparation.
