  1. God gave us human bodies that give us a specific form of life. What can you tell specifically about someone from their body?

  2. What can you tell about people from their bodies/ faces ? • 1. What sort of emotions do you show on your face? • With your body/ posture? • 2. Are you someone who likes to express how you feel by body language? • **Do our bodies “tell the truth” of how we feel more truthfully than our words?

  3. Your body shows up your moods and feelings. But there is a deeper layer to our personality – your spirit. Your body also expresses your spirit. There are 2 kinds of “spirit” that we live by: Label the photos – spirit of God or spirit of flesh How could you tell the difference between a person ruled by spirit and a person ruled by flesh? Who do you admire? Are they a person of the Spirit or of the flesh? Give examples of the Spirit they live by. (if you can’t think of anyone, discuss Rihanna, Nelson Mandela, Bill Gates/ Steve Jobs, Justin Bieber, Andy Murray, Maloula, Gandhi) **Which is it better to be? Why? Spirit of flesh You live by the desires of your body - greed, lust, envy, anger, lazy, demanding, selfish. Spirit of God You live by the desires of the Spirit of God - generous, truthful, self-controlled, patient, peaceful, kind, responsible, selfless.

But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have put to death their human nature with all its passions and desires.” Galatians 5:22-23 Read the text. Draw the battle between Spirit of God, and Spirit of the Flesh. Show what sort of qualities “grow” on each side (“Fruits of the Spirit”) **Which do you find hardest? Which desires battle in you?

  7. Who inspires you? • Write a brief description of their life • Describe why they inspire you • Evaluate if they are ruled by the spirit or by the flesh. Give several pieces of evidence to back up your opinion.
