Long Term Partnerships

  • Each housing development has an assigned Full Service Partner (FSP)

  • Client services provided by FSP’s Personal Service Coordinator (PSC)

  • All services provided by the PSC’s may be on-site or in the community

HCA and OCCS Partnership

  • Memorandum of Understanding developed between all service partners

  • Orange County Community Services (OCCS) to provide technical assistance in developing MHSA housing projects

  • Health Care Agency (HCA)/ Behavioral Health Services (BHS) to provide direction and/or input on needs and coordination of services


Notice of funding availability

Notice of Funding Availability

  • Part of OCCS Affordable Rental Housing “Notice of Funding Availability” (NOFA) when open. When funding is available contact OCCS for further information.

  • NOFA funds are approved by the Board of Supervisors before funds are disbursed by OCCS.

  • Open NOFA first-come, first served

    • Up to 4% increase in allowable cost per unit each year

  • Shared Housing development

    • May fund full cost of house

    • Max. $112,486 per MHSA bedroom

    • Up to 4% increase in allowable cost per unit each year

    • No less than 5 MHSA units

    • 5 to 100 apts at least 10% MHSA

    • More than 100 apts, minimum 10 MHSA units
