  1. Interactive Investigation A concept by Alex Dima, Harry Moon, JesperTobiassen and Jack Woodhams

  2. Synopsis • Detective and player are thrown into a world of intrigue and mystery, where they uncover the latest victim of the serial killer they’ve been tracking.

  3. Our aim • Create an engrossing interactive experience for a first person narrative.

  4. Audience • Fans of investigative fiction and interactive entertainment.

  5. Distribution • Dedicated website where the game is the forefront of the site, enabling people to access the game without difficulty.

  6. Our idea • We came up with the idea to create an interactive narrative, where the players would be given various options throughout the story. • We decided to go with an investigative narrative. At first we wanted to do a horror narrative but decided that the medium we’re exploring would be better suited to an investigative storyline in which the audience can find clues. Also, it is logistically easier for us to provide a proof of concept with an investigative story in comparison to a horror story.

  7. Logistical concerns • For the scale of the project we’d need multiple locations, actors, crew, filming days, etc. • Health and Safety would also be a concern, depending on our chosen storyline, action etc. • Our biggest weakness in this project was time, ideally we’d have needed a lot longer to script and plan the story to make it more engaging. However our prototype project, does showcase the interactive element our project wants to utilize.

  8. Evaluation • We feel that many things could have gone differently with this project if we’d have had more time to develop ideas, experiment with audiences and understand in more depth how our decisions would change the user experience.
