  2. What does my animal eat? The garter snake is anomnivorethat eats: frogs, toads, salamanders, earthworms, small fish, tadpoles, mice, bird eggs, slugs, crayfish, leeches, insects, small snakes, carrion, and small dead animals.

  3. Where does it live? • Mountains, prairies, meadows, coastal marshes, cities parks, and in peoples yards, thousands of Garter Snakes live in one den at a time. • They mostly come out in early winter.
