Today you will be working with the words “Patriot” and “Loyalist”. • Next, let the students know what the outcome of the lesson will be • “After using a few resources to learn a bit about these terms, you will be responsible for posting to a wall on wallwisher any pictures, questions, definitions, connections, etc that you have about the terms. One wall will be devoted to “Patriot” while the other will be solely for “Loyalist”. The more you include the better understanding we all will have about this vocabulary. If needed, you may post to either wall during your exploration of the resources as your knowledge grows!” • Assign students 2 of the 4 Exploration Resources to use in their discovery of the vocabulary terms. Give them the links to these as well as the Wallwisher Walls and allow for approximately 12-13 minutes for completion. • “Sarah you will use resources # 1 & 2, Walter you will use resources #2 & 3...etc” • At the end of the lesson, review the walls created.
