Whatitis?

  • A journal is a learning tool based on the ideas that you write to learn. You can use the journals to write about topics of personal interest, to note your observations, to imagine, to wonder and to connect new information with things you already know.


What kind of journals do exist

Whatkind of journals do exist?

  • Creative journal: it is the one kept for registering ideas that come to you with the intention of creating something, for example a writer who registers ideas for a new book.

  • Observation journals: this journal is used to described a subject which source is based on observation such as animal or human behavior.


Journal

  • Class journal: it is a daily piece of writing intended for students to register class information linked to their emotions and or interests.

  • ScientificJournal: itistheoneusedbyscientiststoregisterinformationrelatedtotheirresearches .


What to write about in a class journal

  • Description:

    • you can describe objects, places, hobbies, animals, foodsetc, thingsthat I like.

  • Processes:

    • you can talkaboutthewayyou do something, forexamplehow do you pick up a restaurant or a movie, whatkind of musicto listen.

  • Comparing and Contrasting:

    • you can compare music groups, places, seasons, books etc.

  • Classifying:

    • you can enlist TV programs you like, songs, clothes, good and bad movies etc.

  • Argument:

    • you can argument about topics that you find interesting or controversial, for example: school rules.

  • Definition:

    • you can make definitions for different subjects such as, what friendship is, or what religion is etc.


How to write in my journal
