Isenberg eRecruiting can be found at http://isenberg.experience.com for Isenberg School of Management juniors and seniors (full time jobs and a select # of field experience opportunities.) • Username is isb and your spire ID as one word. Your Password is isenberg. • If you have difficulties logging in, come into the Chase Career Center located in ISOM 101 or email rchmura@som.umass.edu. • UMass eRecruiting can be found at http://umass.experience.com for all UMass students (95% of field experience opportunities are posted here.) • Username is uma + your spire ID andPassword is your spire ID. • If you have difficulties logging in, call UMass Career Services at 545-2224 or email them at ccnhelp@acad.umass.edu. • Both systems look exactly the same, they just require different usernames and passwords and contain information about different opportunities.

  3. The first time you log on, you will be required to complete your profile. • To update profile information or make changes, click on Profile, then View/edit profile data and Edit personal information. • Use a business appropriate email address, such as your student account.

  4. Note that there are five tabs under Edit Personal Information including Academic Info, Career Preferences, Continued Academics and Administration. • Click Save after inputting information, or you will lose that information.

  5. Click on Documents and Upload a document. • Upload as many resumes and cover letters as you would like by clicking on the circle next to the desired document. • Uploading documents is similar to attaching a document to an email. • Make sure documents are in Word or Rich Text Format (RTF). (RTF uploads much faster than Word.) • Name documents with your name as part of the title so an employer is not just seeing resume.doc but janejonesresume.doc. • It is a good idea to have your resume and/or cover letter reviewed by a professional in the Chase Career Center before uploading to eRecruiting.

  6. The first way to search for jobs is to click on Jobs & Internships then Job search. • Click on Internships, Co-opsorJobsdepending on which opportunity you are looking for. • Co-ops are paid hourly and full-time. Internships are typically unpaid, credit based and part time. For more info on internships and co-ops, come to the Chase Career Center located in ISOM 101.

  7. Type in a key word and click Search. • To learn more about a job description, click on the top line of an entry, and the bottom line to see the company info/profile. • (The key word of marketing was used for this search within the co-op tab.) • Be sure to read all information carefully, especially when searching for internships, because within the description there will be deadlines and details regarding how to apply. The box will tell you if you are eligible to apply, along with other pertinent information. • Click Apply.

  8. The second way to search for employment opportunities is by employer name. • Click on Employers and Employers search.

  9. Click on letter of first word of employer’s name. • A was chosen for the purpose of this search.

  10. Click on the name of the desired company to learn about the company and their current opportunities on eRecruiting. • Click on Jobs to learn which opportunities are available within that company. Then click on the desired opportunity.

  11. For this example amy’s test is the company and the job title is Amy Test. • Obviously for a real search, the company and job title would not be so similar. • Click on the job title Amy Test.

  12. Click Apply found at the bottom of the job description

  13. Choose the documents required for applying via the pull down menu and hit Submit.

  14. This page will confirm your application.

  15. To check the status of your applications, click on Applications and Your active applications. • You should check this page frequently as to not miss any interviews! • If you are accepted, you should receive an email from eRecruiting with a link to an interview schedule where you can sign up for a time slot. • If you do NOT receive an email but you see from this page that you are accepted under Employer Decision, click on Details… to find an interview schedule.

  16. Click Sign up for an interview to schedule an interview time. • Click Decline invitation to interview if you do not wish to pursue this opportunity.

  17. Click on the box next to your desired interview time and click Save. (For this example there is only one time slot). • If you have more than one interview in a day, do not sign up for interviews at the same time!

  18. Once you save an interview time, this page will appear detailing your interview time and place. • You should also receive a confirmation email with this information.
