  1. Bridal Makeup Tips: Look at the DO'S & DON’TS!

  2. Want to be prepared for your makeup look right before the big day? You’ve come to the right place. Make-up is a tricky business, one misstep and you might ruin your very own special day. For this one must be prepared for everything including all the dos and don’ts that you just don’t want to repeat. Skim through them below and you’ll find everything there is to know about them.

  3. DO: SKINCARE Skincare is one of the best ways you can prepare yourself for your big day. 3 to 6 months before your wedding day, make sure that you have a proper skincare routine so makeup settles well throughout the day of the wedding.

  4. TRIAL Make-up is highly important when you’re planning for a certain kind of make-up on your big day. This is when you make an appointment 3 to 5 weeks before the marriage. This will give your skin time to adjust to it all and if you want some tan, your makeup artist can learn what kind of foundation would go with your complexion. Also, do wear your wedding jewelry to see how it would look on your make-up. This would save a lot of time for you as well. Do wear a similar outfit to your wedding day to see the whole actual look of your big day. That would make it easier to judge it.

  5. BRIGHTEN UP THOSE EYES: The eyes are probably the best feature of your face. If you don’t emphasize that part of your face then it will completely make the look duller than it is. So make sure that you put on proper concealer under your eyes with matching eyeshadow and eyeliner to make your eyes pop out. Do this by contrasting it with your wedding dress.

  6. DON’TS: MAKEUP TRIAL AT NIGHT: Lighting plays an important role in making up your whole make-up look. That’s why you should consider natural lighting before you decide on a make-up look. Make sure that your trial is done during the day and in a room where there’s a lot of natural lighting coming in.

  7. DON’T WEAR SPF: This is a tip that most skincare gurus aren’t aware of. Do not wear sunscreen especially when your photographer is using flash. The flash would bounce back from your skin, leaving it looking flaky and washed out. You don’t want your wedding pictures like that or there won’t be any purpose in wearing make- up.

  8. DON’T MAKE IT THICK There’s no rule anywhere to lather your skin with make-up on your wedding day. Many wedding shoots are done outdoors which means layering on a lot of foundation would be quite obvious in the photos. Just make sure that you’re T-zone is matte due to the flash and then put a thin layer of foundation and powder to make it more natural.

  9. DON’T JUST PUT IT ON YOUR FACE This means you should extend the base towards your neck and shoulders. This would make sure that your face and shoulders aren’t of different shades.
