  2. 3 Point perspective

  3. place the horizon line close to the top of your page if the viewer will be looking down, or the bottom of your page if the viewer will be looking up.Then, as far from the horizon as possible, place a third vanishing point. It can fall anywhere between the horizon vanishing points, though closer to the middle is better for our purposes. Then, draw lines connecting the three VPs. To look “correct” you will keep your drawing within the triangle.

  4. Draw a vertical line pointing to the 3rd Vanishing point.

  5. Connect the orthogonal lines to the 1st and 2nd V.P.

  6. Now connect the sides of the building to the 3rd V.P.

  7. Don’t forget the top of the Building.

  8. You can add all types of crazy things. Just remember that all lines lead to the v.p.’s!

  9. By adding the v.p.’s outside of your paper you will have more room to work.So………. Use a drawing board and draw right onto it!

  10. In your sketchbook…………… • Draw a couple city scape ideas • Bird’s eye • Ant’s eye • Themes.... • Basically plan out your city, decide where you want your vanishing points!!

  11. Create a SURREALIST city: • You MUST include at least: • 3 buildings • Some windows on all buildings. • 3 signs • 10 surprises (something unexpected.) • 2 life forms. Project Requirements
