Kickoff to the Week of Reflection Noon in the Spirit Lounge of the Baker Pattillo Student Center. Community Service Impact – Photo Display 11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Spirit Lounge of the Baker Pattillo Student Center. LEADERSHIP DAY Thursday, April 10 How have you made a difference with what you’ve learned? Make Your Own Wax Axe BPSC Spirit Lounge of from 11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. Lyle Lovett BPSC Grand Ballroom at 7 p.m. DIVERSITY DAY Tuesday, April 8 What have you learned about yourself and others this year? Diversity Display 11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Spirit Lounge of the Baker Pattillo Student Center. Film Showing – “A Village Called Versailles” The Office of Multicultural Affairs welcomes Emmy nominated and award winning director Leo Chiang in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Month. Mr. Leo Chiang will be presenting his film, "A Village Called Versailles" at 7p.m. in the Baker Pattillo Student Center Theater followed by a discussion about his experience in directing the film, as well as his college experiences as an Asian American college student. SCHOLARSHIP & THE DAY OF GRATITUDE Friday, April 11 Who has helped you to reach your full potential? Take a moment to pass along your thanks to those who have helped you develop and grow this year. Write a personal note to anyone in the SFA community. We will deliver your note along with a small gift to show our appreciation. This event is sponsored by the Dean of Student Affairs and the Teaching Excellence Center and will take place in the BPSC Spirit Lounge of from 11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. WELLNESS DAY Wednesday, April 9 How have you grown this year in mind, body and spirit? DeStress Fest 11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Spirit Lounge of the Baker Pattillo Student Center. Yoga for Peace 11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Student Center Plaza. Lyle Lovett Lyle Lovett is a Grammy Award-winning singer, composer and actor. He has broadened the definition of Americana music in a career that spans 14 albums and more than four million records sold. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in a manner that defies convention and breaks down barriers. The event will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Baker Pattillo Student Center. It is free for students.
